Our company was founded almost 25 years ago as a sole proprietorship offering professional civil engineering and surveying services. The founder’s reputation for quality workmanship, timeliness and integrity is the solid foundation for the corporation of today. RTC offers a wide range of surveying services including Global Positioning System (GPS), aerial mapping control, topographic, cadastral, geodetic, route, settlement and displacement, and construction field and staking surveys. Complete Rights of Way and easement services are also available.
The scale of our surveying projects has increased dramatically. Ralph Tyler’s practice has grown from single parcel boundary and topographic surveys to comprehensive surveying services for nearly all of the major projects in the City of Cleveland.
RTC’s Surveying Department participated on the project teams responsible for construction of the Cleveland Public Library addition and renovation, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Tower City, Gund Arena and the new Cleveland Browns Stadium; all of which are changing the skyline of Cleveland. We have extensive knowledge and experience with the Cleveland Department of Port Control and have provided surveying and mapping services for Cleveland Hopkins International and Burke Lakefront Airports for over ten years.
Surveying is a core service of the firm and RTC utilizes state-of-the-art field equipment including electronic data collection. Taking advantage of the Global Positioning System (GPS) our crews provide detailed and extremely accurate spatial locational information. RTC provided GPS data to establish a 600 point network for Cuyahoga County and to set latitude and longitude data for over 100 tower sites for the Cleveland Division of Water. In-house software programs include Auto CADD, Auto-CADD Civil 3-D, and Surv-CADD offering capabilities to utilize various datum. RTC has established impressive track records in both the public and private sectors. Our ability to understand the needs of our clients and our knowledge of city, county and state regulations and local datum enhance the surveying services we offer.
