The South 40 Facilities Relocation addressed facility and operations relocations, required because of the expansion of Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CHIA) and its subsequent impact on the NASA Glenn Research Center’s (GRC) operations.  The airport expansion required a $100 million relocation of existing facilities and transfer of about 35 acres of the South 40 to CHIA

Services Provided

RTC provided a full-time, on-site Project Engineer responsible for Design Management of the Detailed Design effort for seven NASA non-research facilities; review and guidance to the design firm doing the detailed design; administration of contract, coordination of efforts with NASA; and bidding and construction administration of detailed designs.
