SCI-73-02.71 Bridge Replacement

Fully metric construction contract plans for a single span, composite rolled steel beam superstructure, supported on spill through stub abutments on drilled shafts, with a 50° right forward skew to replace the existing deteriorated concrete slab bridge over Abe Run in Scioto County, Ohio.  The site required part-width construction and staff members detailed both the stage construction plans and the maintenance of traffic plans.

Services Provided

RTC was responsible for: superstructure; concrete column piers; abutments; retaining walls and concrete slope protection on the embankments. RTC also performed hydraulic and scour analysis calculations for the waterway as well as 256 meters of bridge approach.
