The project rebuilds or otherwise reconditions Illuminating Company subtransmission facilities.  Additionally, existing distribution circuitry will be rebuilt in contemplation of future conversion.  Segments of the affected circuitry having less than the necessary capacity will be reconductored.

The project provides for the installation of scada-controlled sectionalizers on the system and consists of  the installation of sectionalizers, single-phase transformers, line disconnect switches and a sectionalizer bypass switch. Work also requires determining physical location on existing lines to allow access for installation and maintenance purposes.

RTC provided - Survey and Engineering activities (including field evaluation, design per FirstEnergy (FE) standards, updating records, and developing material requirements); and Project Management activities including overall and day-to-day responsibility for the project including meetings/monthly reports, plans for project schedules, and implementation of the plans.
